Four days on the edge of San Francisco Bay — minutes from the airport, a short ride from the city, and built for the kind of unhurried conversation that makes an AOA convention memorable.
The 2027 educational program spans medical and surgical specialties, with invited faculty drawn from major academic institutions and distinguished private practices across the United States. The multidisciplinary format lets physicians learn from advances in other fields and build meaningful professional collaborations.
The convention draws participants from across the United States — New York, Florida, Texas, Illinois, California and other regions. Approximately 150 physicians attended the most recent meeting, including strong participation from the San Francisco Bay Area. Based on attendance patterns over the past several years, overall participation is expected to exceed 200 in 2027.

Sponsorship helps support physician education and reduced-cost participation for residents, fellows and other young medical professionals. Sponsors receive meaningful recognition and opportunities to engage with a national network of healthcare leaders, while respecting all applicable CME and institutional requirements.
