About Dr. Deepta Ghate

Dr. Deepta Ghate is an Associate Professor in the department of ophthalmology at Emory University in Atlanta, GA. She has trained with Hank Edelhauser in ocular physiology at the Emory Eye Center and with Carl Camras in glaucoma at the University of Nebraska. She is a clinician scientist and has been funded by NIH, the Nebraska Research Initiative, the IDeA CTR program, the American Glaucoma Society, Center for Health in Aging, Georgia tech CTSA among other.

Her research work focuses on the impact of visual disability on activities of daily living particularly driving, visual perception and ocular disease and ocular biomarkers for CNS disorders. Her clinical work focusses on adult and pediatric glaucoma.
